LPG Cylinder Annealing Furnace

LPG Cylinder Annealing Furnace

LPG Cylinder Equipment

Automatic-grade LPG cylinder annealing furnace with 18-21 KW power, 220V operation, and electric-driven heating for uniform stress relief and metallurgical property restoration in cylinder manufacturing.

Working Principle

The annealing furnace operates by heating welded LPG cylinders to the austenitic transformation temperature (typically 870-920°C for low carbon steel). The cylinders are loaded onto a conveyor or placed on hearth fixtures and transported through the heating zone where electric heating elements or gas burners provide uniform heat. After reaching the soak temperature, the cylinders are held for a specified duration to allow complete transformation, then slowly cooled in a controlled manner to achieve the desired metallurgical properties. Temperature is precisely controlled through PID controllers and zone-based thermocouple monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Annealing relieves internal stresses from welding, restores ductility, and refines the grain structure of the steel. This is essential to ensure cylinders meet BIS safety standards for pressure containment.

The furnace typically operates at 870-920°C for annealing low carbon steel LPG cylinders, with precise PID-controlled temperature management.

Yes, this is an automatic-grade furnace with PID temperature controllers, zone-based thermocouple monitoring, and programmable heat treatment cycles.

The furnace operates on standard 220V electric supply with 18-21 KW power consumption, suitable for most industrial installations.

Yes, the furnace can be customized to handle various cylinder sizes from domestic 5kg to commercial 47.5kg LPG cylinders. The loading mechanism is designed for flexibility in cylinder dimensions.
