The billet preheater uses induction or gas-fired heating to uniformly raise the aluminium billet temperature to the optimal extrusion range (typically 400-500°C for aluminium alloys). The automatic system loads billets from a magazine, passes them through the heating zone at a controlled rate, and delivers heated billets to the extrusion press. Temperature sensors monitor the billet surface and core temperature to ensure uniform heating. The electric drive system provides smooth and precise billet transport.
